Iowa High School Basketball - Clarinda tops Creston
January 3, 2024: Creston, IA 50801 Clarinda Cardinals (Clarinda, IA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Creston Panthers (Creston, IA), 59-45 in a league bout.
With the victory, Clarinda upgrades its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Lewis Central (Council Bluffs, IA) to play the Titans in a Hawkeye Ten bout on Friday, January 5. The Titans come into the bout with a record of 6-4. Lewis Central won 45-30 in their recent league bout against Harlan (Harlan, IA)
Next up, the Panthers play the Denison-Schleswig Monarchs (Denison, IA) in a Hawkeye Ten bout, on Friday, January 5. Creston will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Monarchs come into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 48-41 non-league win over East Sac County (Lake View, IA).
