Nevada High School Basketball - Sage Ridge holds off Smith Valley
February 2, 2024: Smith, NV 89430 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Sage Ridge Scorpions (Reno, NV) and the host Smith Valley Bulldogs (Smith, NV), saw Sage Ridge's basketball squad hold off Smith Valley by a tally of 50-47.
With the victory, Sage Ridge improves its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Scorpions host Pyramid Lake (Nixon, NV) to confront the Lakers in a 1A West challenge on Monday, February 5. The Lakers come into the challenge with a record of 18-4. Pyramid Lake won 71-4 in their recent league challenge against Mineral County (Hawthorne, NV)
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage Rams (Yerington, NV) in a 1A West challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Smith Valley will attempt to improve on its 8-11 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 0-14 record after their 58-33 league loss to Coleville (Coleville, CA).
