Virginia High School Basketball - Briar Woods can't hold off Independence

February 3, 2023: Ashburn, VA

The Independence basketball team scored 63 points and restricted the visiting Briar Woods Falcons to 57 in the league victory on Friday.

The now sport a 8-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Potomac Falls for a Potomac contest on Monday, February 6. Independence will battle a Panthers team coming off a 62-44 league win over Woodgrove (Purcellville, VA). The Panthers record now stands at 15-5.

The Falcons (8-12) will now prepare for their contest against Stone Bridge (Ashburn, VA). The Bulldogs come into the Potomac contest with a 12-8 record. In their last contest, Stone Bridge was nudged by Shabach Christian Academy (Landover, MD), 79-45, in a non-league contest.
