Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Valley Christian Trojans (Chandler, AZ) and the host Gilbert Christian Knights (Gilbert, AZ), saw Valley Christian's basketball squad hold off Gilbert Christian by a tally of 66-63.

With the victory, Valley Christian improves its record to 25-1 on the campaign. The Trojans host Coolidge (Coolidge, AZ) to confront the Bears in a 3A South Central challenge on Monday, February 6. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 25-1. Coolidge won 39-36 in their recent league challenge against American Leadership Academy - Ironwood (Ironwood, AZ)

Next up, the Knights confront the Globe Tigers (Globe, AZ) in a 3A South Central challenge, on Monday, February 6. Gilbert Christian will attempt to improve on its 13-10 season record.
