The Central Crossing Comets basketball team (Grove City, OH), was overwhelmed 59-38 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Newark Wildcats (Newark, OH)

The Wildcats now possess a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Upper Arlington for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 4. Newark will confront a Golden Bears team coming off a 39-30 league win over Olentangy Orange (Lewis Center, OH). The Golden Bears record now stands at 16-4.

The Comets (5-15) will now prepare for their battle against Westland (Galloway, OH). The Cougars come into the non-league battle with a 3-15 record. In their last battle, Westland was overwhelmed by New Albany (New Albany, OH), 69-13, in a league battle.
