Newark Wildcats (Newark, OH) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Groveport-Madison Cruisers (Groveport, OH), 62-41 in a league bout.

With the victory, Newark upgrades its record to 12-8 on the campaign.

Next up, the Cruisers play the New Albany Eagles (New Albany, OH) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 15. Groveport-Madison will attempt to upgrade on its 10-12 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 10-12 record after their 45-41 league loss to Pickerington North (Pickerington, OH).
