The Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA) basketball knocked off the host Indian River Braves (Chesapeake, VA), 49-38 in Friday's league test.

The Bruins (12-6) will now prepare for their test against Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA). The Hornets go into the Southeastern test with a 14-5 record. In their last test, Deep Creek went down by King's Fork (Suffolk, VA), 55-52, in a league test.
