The MacArthur Generals routed the visiting Triad Knights basketball team by a final score of 56-28 in Saturday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Generals face the Lanphier Lions (Springfield, IL) in a Central State Eight test, on Tuesday, February 6. MacArthur will attempt to advance on its 21-3 season record. The Lions go into the test with a 15-14 record after their 80-54 non-league win over Cahokia (Cahokia, IL).

The Knights now own a 17-10 record. They play next when they host Mascoutah for a Mississippi Valley test on Friday, February 9. Triad will encounter a Indians squad coming off a 44-34 non-league loss to Richland County (Olney, IL). The Indians record now stands at 17-10.
