Ohio High School Basketball - Mapleton overwhelms St. Peter's
February 3, 2024: Ashland, OH 44805 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Mapleton Mounties (Ashland, OH) and the visiting St. Peter's Spartans (Mansfield, OH), saw Mapleton's basketball squad wallop St. Peter's by a count of 71-16.
With the victory, Mapleton upgrades its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Mounties host Crestview (Ashland, OH) to play the Cougars in a Firelands challenge on Thursday, February 8. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 17-0. Crestview won 72-27 in their recent league challenge against New London (New London, OH)
Next up, the Spartans play the Temple Christian Crusaders (Mansfield, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. St. Peter's will attempt to upgrade on its 1-16 season record. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a 0-7 record after their 66-65 non-league loss to Lake Ridge Academy (North Ridgeville, OH).
