January 24, 2024: Ashland, OH 44805 In Wednesday's league outing, the Mapleton Mounties (Ashland, OH) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting New London Wildcats (New London, OH), by a margin of 66-27.
The Mounties (10-3) will now prepare for their outing against St. Paul (Norwalk, OH). The Flyers go into the Firelands outing with a 8-4 record. In their last outing, St. Paul was trounced by Calvert (Tiffin, OH), 48-41, in a non-league outing.
The Wildcats now own a 1-12 record. They play next when they host Plymouth for a Firelands outing on Friday, January 26. New London will clash with a Big Red squad coming off a 41-39 league win over Monroeville (Monroeville, OH). The Big Red record now stands at 6-8.
