Ohio High School Basketball - Mapleton trounces Western Reserve
January 5, 2024: Collins, OH 44826 The Mapleton Mounties (Ashland, OH) basketball crushed the host Western Reserve Roughriders (Collins, OH), 56-35 in Friday's league test.
The Mounties (6-2) will now prepare for their test against Northwestern (West Salem, OH). The Huskies go into the non-league test with a 4-5 record. In their last test, Northwestern walloped Rittman (Rittman, OH), 62-56, in a league test.
The Roughriders now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Plymouth for a Firelands test on Thursday, January 11. Western Reserve will encounter a Big Red squad coming off a 59-39 league loss to Crestview (Ashland, OH). The Big Red record now stands at 3-7.
