The Hopewell Titans basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting West Mecklenburg Hawks to 55 in the Titans league triumph on Friday.

The Titans now sport a 10-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Mecklenburg for a 3A/4A Conference 60 contest on Tuesday, February 8. Hopewell will battle a Vikings team coming off a 75-73 league loss to Chambers (Charlotte, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 18-4.

The Hawks (5-17) will now prepare for their contest against Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC). The Mavericks enter the 3A/4A Conference 60 contest with a 12-9 record. In their last contest, Mallard Creek was defeated by Chambers (Charlotte, NC), 69-62, in a league contest.
