East Mecklenburg Eagles (Charlotte, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host West Mecklenburg Hawks (Charlotte, NC), 65-56 in a non-league bout.

With the win, East Mecklenburg upgrades its record to 4-3 on the season. The Eagles travel to Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC) to play the Ravens in a 4A Conference 59 bout on Friday, December 10. The Ravens go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Rocky River won 70-67 in their recent non-league bout against Berry (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Hawks play the Chambers Cougars (Charlotte, NC) in a 3A/4A Conference 60 bout, on Friday, December 10. West Mecklenburg will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 88-43 non-league loss to Dream City Christian (Glendale, AZ).
