Illinois High School Basketball - Genoa-Kingston knocks off North Boone
February 4, 2025: Poplar Grove, IL 61065 In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Genoa-Kingston Cogs basketball team scored a good 62-44 win over the North Boone Vikings.
The Cogs (12-13) will now prepare for their contest against Woodstock North (Woodstock, IL). The Thunder come into the non-league contest with a 3-17 record. In their last contest, Woodstock North was topped by Johnsburg (Johnsburg, IL), 90-41, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Vikings battle the Stillman Valley Cardinals (Stillman Valley, IL) in a Big Northern contest, on Friday, February 7. North Boone will attempt to better on its 11-15 season record. The Cardinals come into the contest with a 8-14 record after their 80-57 league loss to Rockford Christian (Rockford, IL).
