The Jackson Day Mariners (Charlotte, NC) basketball were winner over the host Piedmont Community Charter Patriots (Gastonia, NC), 85-69 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Mariners now possess a 3-16 record. They play next when they travel to Sugar Creek Charter for a 1A Metro 8 bout on Friday, February 7. Jackson Day will play a Wildcats team coming off a 81-47 league loss to Carolina International (Concord, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-8.

With the loss, Piedmont Community Charter falls to 9-10 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC) to play the Stallions in a 1A Metro 8 bout on Friday, February 7.
