In Friday's league test, the Jackson Day Mariners (Charlotte, NC) basketball squad got by the host Sugar Creek Charter Wildcats (Charlotte, NC), by a score of 63-60.

Next, the Mariners encounter the Grace Academy Lions (Matthews, NC) in a non-league test, on Monday, February 10. Jackson Day will attempt to improve on its 4-16 season record. The Lions come into the test with a 18-6 record after their 80-63 non-league win over Socrates Academy (Matthews, NC).
