The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Sugar Creek Charter Wildcats (Charlotte, NC) and the host Valor Preparatory Academy Owls (Concord, NC), observed Sugar Creek Charter's basketball team knock off Valor Preparatory Academy by a score of 64-52.

The Wildcats (10-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Nation Ford (Fort Mill, SC). The Falcons come into the non-league challenge with a 8-8 record. In their last challenge, Nation Ford prevailed over Catawba Ridge (Fort Mill, SC), 61-52, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Owls encounter the Jackson Day Mariners (Charlotte, NC) in a 1A Metro 8 challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Valor Preparatory Academy will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Mariners come into the challenge with a 2-13 record after their 72-66 league loss to Carolina International (Concord, NC).
