West Johnston Wildcats (Benson, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Smithfield-Selma Spartans (Smithfield, NC), 63-37 in a league match.

With the victory, West Johnston advances its record to 6-12 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Hunt (Wilson, NC) to face the Warriors in a 3A Quad County match on Wednesday, February 5. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 14-5.

The Spartans now own a 2-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Johnston for a 3A Quad County match on Thursday, February 6. Smithfield-Selma will face a Trojans squad coming off a 56-43 league win over Southern Wayne (Dudley, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 9-10.
