New Mexico High School Basketball - Tohatchi thwarts Navajo Prep
February 5, 2025: Farmington, NM 87401 The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Tohatchi Cougars (Tohatchi, NM) and the host Navajo Prep Eagles (Farmington, NM), observed Tohatchi's basketball team knock off Navajo Prep by a score of 81-67.
The Cougars (19-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Crownpoint (Crownpoint, NM). The Eagles come into the 3A District 1 challenge with a 7-13 record. In their last challenge, Crownpoint prevailed over Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM), 42-35, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Thoreau Hawks (Thoreau, NM) in a 3A District 1 challenge, on Friday, February 7. Navajo Prep will attempt to improve on its 15-6 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 11-9 record after their 65-57 league win over Newcomb (Newcomb, NM).
