Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Blue Ridge Early College Bobcats (Cashiers, NC), 86-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cherokee upgrades its record to 20-3 on the season. The Braves travel to Murphy (Murphy, NC) to play the Bulldogs in a 1A Conference 43 - Big bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 10-12. Murphy won 64-50 in their recent league bout against Andrews (Andrews, NC)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Highlands Highlanders (Highlands, NC) in a 1A Conference 43 - Little bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Blue Ridge Early College will attempt to upgrade on its 7-13 season record. The Highlanders go into the bout with a 14-6 record after their 61-40 league win over Hiwassee Dam (Murphy, NC).
