The Pioneer Diamondbacks basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the host Sharyland Rattlers to 29 in the Diamondbacks league victory on Tuesday.

The Diamondbacks now sport a 19-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Valley View for a 5A Region IV District 31 contest on Friday, February 9. Pioneer will battle a Tigers team coming off a 126-39 league loss to McAllen (McAllen, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 12-24.

The Rattlers (8-19) will now prepare for their contest against Valley View (Pharr, TX). The Tigers come into the 5A Region IV District 31 contest with a 12-24 record. In their last contest, Valley View was defeated by McAllen (McAllen, TX), 126-39, in a league contest.
