North Carolina High School Basketball - Corvian Community thwarted by Mountain Island Charter

The Corvian Community Cardinals basketball team (Charlotte, NC), was toppled 40-29 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Mountain Island Charter Raptor (Mt. Holly, NC)

The Raptor now possess a 7-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bradford Prep for a 1A/2A Catawba Shores battle on Friday, February 9. Mountain Island Charter will confront a Bears team coming off a 37-29 non-league win over Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC). The Bears record now stands at 8-12.

The Cardinals (5-15) will now prepare for their battle against Pine Lake Prep (Mooresville, NC). The Pride come into the 1A/2A Catawba Shores battle with a 10-9 record. In their last battle, Pine Lake Prep beat Langtree Charter (Mooresville, NC), 49-6, in a league battle.
