The South Mecklenburg Sabres basketball team (Charlotte, NC), was overwhelmed 53-29 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC)

The Mavericks now possess a 13-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sun Valley for a non-league battle on Friday, February 9. Marvin Ridge will confront a Spartans team coming off a 67-55 non-league win over Monroe (Monroe, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 11-3.

The Sabres (8-11) will now prepare for their battle against Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC). The Knights come into the battle with a 8-4 record. In their last battle, Ardrey Kell trounced Myers Park (Charlotte, NC), 37-31, in a non-league battle.
