North Carolina High School Basketball - Anson overwhelmed by Piedmont

February 6, 2025: Wadesboro, NC 28170

In Thursday's league test, the Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC) basketball squad trounced the host Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC), by a score of 56-33.

Next, the Panthers encounter the Parkwood Wolf Pack (Monroe, NC) in a 2A/3A Rocky River test, on Tuesday, February 11. Piedmont will attempt to improve on its 9-12 season record. The Wolf Pack go into the game with a 9-13 record after their 58-40 league loss to Monroe (Monroe, NC).

With the loss, Anson falls to 8-13 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to West Stanly (Oakboro, NC) to confront the Colts in a 2A/3A Rocky River game on Friday, February 7. The Colts go into the game with a record of 12-10. West Stanly lost 72-45 in their recent league game against Forest Hills (Marshville, NC)
