Maryland High School Basketball - Westlake holds off Great Mills
February 7, 2024: Waldorf, MD 20603 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Westlake Wolverines (Waldorf, MD) and the visiting Great Mills Hornets (Great Mills, MD), saw Westlake's basketball squad hold off Great Mills by a tally of 55-51.
With the victory, Westlake improves its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to La Plata (La Plata, MD) to confront the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 9. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 7-3. La Plata won 34-21 in their recent non-league challenge against Patuxent (Lusby, MD)
Next up, the Hornets confront the Thomas Stone Cougars (Waldorf, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 9. Great Mills will attempt to improve on its 8-3 season record.
