North Carolina High School Basketball - Independence overwhelms Rocky River

February 8, 2022: Charlotte, NC 28227

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) and the visiting Rocky River Ravens (Mint Hill, NC), saw Independence's basketball squad wallop Rocky River by a count of 67-37.

With the victory, Independence upgrades its record to 12-10 on the campaign. The Patriots host Cox Mill (Concord, NC) to play the Chargers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 9. The Chargers come into the challenge with a record of 16-6. Cox Mill won 56-55 in their recent league challenge against Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC)

Next up, the Ravens play the Garinger Wildcats (Charlotte, NC) in a 4A Conference 59 challenge, on Friday, February 11. Rocky River will attempt to upgrade on its 12-7 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 3-19 record after their 62-52 league win over Providence (Charlotte, NC).
