In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Pocahontas County Warriors basketball team scored a good 59-40 triumph over the Richwood Lumberjacks.

In their next game, the Warriors meet the Harman Panthers (Harman, WV) in a Potomac Valley A match, on Friday, February 10. Pocahontas County will attempt to move on its 3-15 season record. The Panthers enter the match with a 2-12 record after their 59-21 non-league loss to Clay-Battelle (Blacksville, WV).

With the defeat, Richwood moves to 1-14 on the year. The Lumberjacks travel to Webster County (Upper Glade, WV) to meet the Highlanders in a Little Kanawha - East match on Thursday, February 9. The Highlanders enter the match with a record of 13-5. Webster County lost 69-59 in their recent non-league match against Tug Valley (Williamson, WV)
