Illinois High School Basketball - St. Bede thwarts Amboy

February 8, 2025: Amboy, IL 61310

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL) and the host Amboy Clippers (Amboy, IL), observed St. Bede's basketball team knock off Amboy by a score of 61-52.

The Bruins (12-15) will now prepare for their challenge against LaMoille (LaMoille, IL). The Lions come into the non-league challenge with a 6-21 record. In their last challenge, LaMoille prevailed over Alden-Hebron (Hebron, IL), 57-51, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Clippers encounter the Fulton Steamers (Fulton, IL) in a Northwest Upstate Illini - South challenge, on Wednesday, February 12. Amboy will attempt to improve on its 10-15 season record. The Steamers come into the challenge with a 14-13 record after their 44-42 non-league loss to Galena (Galena, IL).
