The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC) and the visiting Willow Spring Storm (Fuquay-Varina, NC), observed Clayton's basketball team edge Willow Spring by a margin of 60-58.

The Comets (13-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Corinth Holders (Wendell, NC). The Pirates come into the 4A Greater Neuse River challenge with a 2-19 record. In their last challenge, Corinth Holders was tipped by Fuquay - Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC), 68-36, in a league challenge.
