In Friday's league match, the host Freedom Patriots basketball team scored a good 70-55 triumph over the Ashe County Huskies.

In their next game, the Patriots meet the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) in a 3A/4A Northwestern match, on Tuesday, February 13. Freedom will attempt to better on its 11-10 season record. The Pioneers enter the match with a 17-5 record after their 68-51 league win over Hibriten (Lenoir, NC).
