North Carolina High School Basketball - Ashe County ripped by Alexander Central
February 2, 2024: Taylorsville, NC 28681 The Alexander Central Cougars basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Ashe County Huskies to 39 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.
The Cougars now sport a 8-12 record. They play next when they host Watauga for a 3A/4A Northwestern bout on Tuesday, February 6. Alexander Central will play a Pioneers squad coming off a 64-62 league loss to South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Pioneers record now stands at 15-5.
Next up, the Huskies play the Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC) in a 3A/4A Northwestern bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Ashe County will attempt to upgrade on its 6-13 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 1-17 record after their 63-38 league loss to Freedom (Morganton, NC).
