Gruver Greyhounds (Gruver, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting West Texas Comanches (Stinnett, TX), 64-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Gruver upgrades its record to 16-11 on the season. The Greyhounds travel to Booker (Booker, TX) to play the Kiowas in a 2A Region I District 1 bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Kiowas go into the bout with a record of 15-11. Booker won 55-39 in their recent league bout against Sunray (Sunray, TX)
