Hazen Wildcats (Hardwick, VT) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Lake Region Rangers (Orleans, VT), 58-38 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Hazen upgrades its record to 15-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Randolph (Randolph, VT) to play the Ghosts in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 14. The Ghosts come into the bout with a record of 10-8. Randolph lost 64-61 in their recent league bout against U-32 (Montpelier, VT)

Next up, the Rangers play the Lyndon Institute Vikings (Lyndon Center, VT) in a Capital bout, on Saturday, February 10. Lake Region will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 4-12 record after their 77-73 non-league loss to Spaulding (Barre, VT).
