North Carolina High School Basketball - South Stokes tops Starmount
February 9, 2024: Boonville, NC 27011 South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC), 52-44 in a league bout.
With the victory, South Stokes upgrades its record to 13-9 on the campaign. The Sauras travel to North Stokes (Danbury, NC) to play the Vikings in a 1A Northwest bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 19-4. North Stokes lost 51-42 in their recent league bout against East Wilkes (Ronda, NC)
Next up, the Rams play the Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) in a 1A Northwest bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Starmount will attempt to upgrade on its 6-16 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 1-20 record after their 37-32 league loss to Elkin (Elkin, NC).
