Illinois High School Basketball - Pekin toppled by Normal Community
February 11, 2025: Normal, IL 61761 Normal Community Ironmen (Normal, IL) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Pekin Dragons (Pekin, IL), 72-53 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Normal Community advances its record to 23-4 on the year. The Ironmen travel to Richwoods (Peoria, IL) to face the Knights in a Big Twelve match on Friday, February 14. The Knights enter the match with a record of 16-10. Richwoods lost 78-56 in their recent non-league match against Morton (Morton, IL)
The Dragons now own a 9-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Limestone for a Mid-Illini match on Friday, February 14. Pekin will face a Rockets squad coming off a 77-50 non-league loss to Peoria (Peoria, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 11-15.
