Lexington Yellowjackets (Lexington, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting North Rowan Cavaliers (Spencer, NC), 75-71 in a league bout.

With the victory, Lexington upgrades its record to 13-9 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Thomasville (Thomasville, NC) to play the Bulldogs in a 1A/2A Central Carolina bout on Friday, February 16. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 15-7. Thomasville won 71-61 in their recent league bout against East Davidson (Thomasville, NC)

Next up, the Cavaliers play the Salisbury Hornets (Salisbury, NC) in a 1A/2A Central Carolina bout, on Friday, February 16. North Rowan will attempt to upgrade on its 12-10 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 20-3 record after their 100-78 league win over Lexington (Lexington, NC).
