February 13, 2025: Spencer, WV 25276 Roane County Raiders (Spencer, WV) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Clay County Panthers (Clay, WV), 67-53 in a league match.
With the victory, Roane County advances its record to 5-11 on the year. The Raiders travel to Nicholas County (Summersville, WV) to face the Grizzlies in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 18. The Grizzlies enter the match with a record of 5-12. Nicholas County lost 88-51 in their recent non-league match against Hoover (Clendenin, WV)
The Panthers now own a 6-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Richwood for a non-league match on Friday, February 14. Clay County will face a Lumberjacks squad coming off a 67-31 league loss to Montcalm (Montcalm, WV). The Lumberjacks record now stands at 2-13.
