Redfield Pheasants (Redfield, SD) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Northwestern Area Wildcats (Mellette, SD), 55-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Redfield upgrades its record to 9-10 on the season. The Pheasants host Tiospa Zina (Agency Village, SD) to play the Wambdi in a A Region 1 bout on Friday, February 17. The Wambdi go into the bout with a record of 5-13.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Herreid/Selby Wolverines (Herreid, SD) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 16. Northwestern Area will attempt to upgrade on its 12-6 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 9-10 record after their 86-39 league win over Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] (Gettysburg, SD).
