February 14, 2024: LaPlace, LA 70068 In Wednesday's non-league outing, the St. Charles Catholic Comets (LaPlace, LA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting East Iberville Tigers (St. Gabriel, LA), by a margin of 76-49.
The Comets (22-4) will now prepare for their outing against Metairie Park Country Day (Metairie, LA). The Cajuns go into the 2A District 10 outing with a 17-12 record. In their last outing, Metairie Park Country Day was trounced by Slidell (Slidell, LA), 67-50, in a non-league outing.
The Tigers now own a 14-14 record. They play next when they travel to Washington-Marion for a non-league outing on Friday, February 16. East Iberville will clash with a Charging Indians squad coming off a 89-55 league win over Leesville (Leesville, LA). The Charging Indians record now stands at 17-12.
