Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Valley Center Hornets (Valley Center, KS) and the visiting Salina Central Mustangs (Salina, KS), saw Valley Center's basketball squad hold off Salina Central by a count of 67-64.

With the victory, Valley Center upgrades its record to 3-15 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to South (Salina, KS) to play the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 20. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 3-15. South lost 67-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Maize (Maize, KS)
