Oregon High School Basketball - South Eugene holds off Sheldon
February 20, 2024: Eugene, OR 97401 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the South Eugene Axe (Eugene, OR) and the visiting Sheldon Irish (Eugene, OR), saw South Eugene's basketball squad hold off Sheldon by a tally of 60-56.
With the victory, South Eugene improves its record to 12-12 on the campaign. The Axe host South Medford (Medford, OR) to confront the Panthers in a 6A Southwest challenge on Friday, February 23. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 17-6. South Medford won 53-48 in their recent league challenge against North Medford (Medford, OR)
Next up, the Irish confront the Roseburg Indians (Roseburg, OR) in a 6A Southwest challenge, on Friday, February 23. Sheldon will attempt to improve on its 11-12 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 14-9 record after their 56-50 league loss to Grants Pass (Grants Pass, OR).
