The Northwestern Area Wildcats basketball team scored 50 points and limited the visiting Waverly/South Shore Coyotes to 49 in the Wildcats league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now possess a 9-11 record. They play next when they host Hitchcock-Tulare for a B Region 1 game on Friday, February 28. Northwestern Area will confront a Patriots team coming off a 50-39 non-league win over Jones County (Murdo, SD). The Patriots record now stands at 7-13.

With the loss, Waverly/South Shore falls to 11-8 on the campaign. The Coyotes travel to Roncalli (Aberdeen, SD) to confront the Cavaliers in a non-league game on Saturday, February 22. The Cavaliers go into the game with a record of 7-11. Roncalli lost 57-53 in their recent non-league game against Deuel (Clear Lake, SD)
