Indiana High School Basketball - North Newton fells River Forest

February 22, 2024: Hobart, IN 46342

North Newton Spartans (Morocco, IN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host River Forest Ingots (Hobart, IN), 51-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, North Newton upgrades its record to 11-11 on the season. The Spartans host Clinton Prairie (Frankfort, IN) to play the Gophers in a non-league bout on Friday, February 23. The Gophers go into the bout with a record of 18-2. Clinton Prairie won 58-50 in their recent league bout against Tri-Central (Sharpsville, IN)

Next up, the Ingots play the Calumet New Tech Warriors (Gary, IN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 27. River Forest will attempt to upgrade on its 9-13 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 6-16 record after their 66-54 non-league loss to Highland (Highland, IN).
