In Thursday's non-league match, the host River Forest Ingots basketball team scored a decisive 69-37 triumph over the Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles.

In their next game, the Ingots meet the South Newton Rebels (Kentland, IN) in a non-league match, on Friday, January 5. River Forest will attempt to move on its 2-5 season record. The Rebels enter the match with a 1-8 record after their 66-38 non-league loss to North Vermillion (Cayuga, IN).
