Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Covington Cougars (Covington, VA), 65-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Auburn upgrades its record to 18-5 on the season. The Eagles host Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA) to play the Pioneers in a Mountain Empire bout on Saturday, February 26. The Pioneers go into the bout with a record of 14-12. Fort Chiswell won 60-50 in their recent non-league bout against Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA)
