Poth Pirates (Poth, TX) supporters went home thrilled Tuesday as they witnessed their baseball team beat the visiting Lytle Pirates (Lytle, TX), 6-3 in a non-league test.

The Pirates now hold a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Jay for a non-league test on Friday, February 27. Poth will play a Mustangs team coming off a 4-1 league loss to Southwest (San Antonio, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-3.

With the defeat, Lytle drops to 2-3 on the year. The Pirates travel to Moody (Moody, TX) to battle the Bearcats in a non-league outing on Thursday, February 26. The Bearcats come into the outing with a record of 0-2. Moody lost 9-7 in their recent non-league outing against Live Oak Classical (Waco, TX)
