Howard Tigers (Howard, SD) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Wessington Springs Spartans (Wessington Springs, SD), 61-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Howard upgrades its record to 19-4 on the season. The Tigers travel to Viborg/Hurley (Viborg, SD) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Thursday, March 9. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 20-3. Viborg/Hurley won 63-34 in their recent non-league bout against Lyman (Presho, SD)
