The Weslaco East Wildcats baseball team (Weslaco, TX), was overwhelmed 19-4 in Thursday's league outing with the visiting Veterans Memorial Chargers (Brownsville, TX)

The Chargers now hold a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Edcouch-Elsa for a 5A Region IV District 32 outing on Tuesday, March 19. Veterans Memorial will confront a Yellowjackets team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Porter (Brownsville, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 3-12.

Next, the Wildcats confront the Donna North Chiefs (Donna, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 32 outing, on Tuesday, March 19. Weslaco East will attempt to advance on its 8-7 season record. The Chiefs go into the outing with a 3-9 record after their 19-8 league win over Mercedes (Mercedes, TX).
