In Monday's league match, the host Huntingtown Hurricanes softball team scored a nice 13-2 victory over the Calvert Cavaliers.

The Hurricanes (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Great Mills (Great Mills, MD). The Hornets go into the Southern Maryland match with a 1-2 record. In their last match, Great Mills was routed by North Point (Waldorf, MD), 14-4, in a league match.
