The Morningside Academy Eagles softball team scored 19 runs and held the visiting Westwood Panthers to 0 in the Eagles non-league win on Thursday.

The Eagles now sport a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Berean Christian for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 1. Morningside Academy will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 24-20 non-league loss to Port St. Lucie (Port St. Lucie, FL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-3.

With the loss, Westwood moves to 0-7 on the season. The Panthers host Bayside (Palm Bay, FL) to confront the Bears in a 5A District 13 battle on Monday, March 31. The Bears come into the battle with a record of 5-7. Bayside lost 11-0 in their recent non-league battle against Melbourne Central Catholic (Melbourne, FL)
